Notice to Riders, Parents and Guardians

Mountain biking is a dangerous sport and injuries are common and expected. Helmets are mandatory and we strongly suggest the use of full-face helmets and adequate body armor. If you are new to the mountain biking, you must be aware that there are many risks involved and basic off road skills are required to ride trails. Beginner mountain-biking terrain is available on our green trail. Advanced terrain and features should not be attempted unless you have previous experience with such terrain, and the correct skill set and equipment to negotiate challenging trails. You must read and follow our Riders Code of Conduct.


  • Ride with in your ability.

  • Ensure helmet is in good condition and is correctly adjusted.

  • Keep off closed areas and obey all signs and warnings.

  • Do not ride off marked trail. Riding off trail can cause significant damage and erosion to the trail network.

  • Do not stop on trails unless a pull out space is provided. Being stopped on a trail can cause serious injury or death.

  • Do not hike up trails - Can cause serious injury or death.

  • Please be respectful and yield to all bicycle traffic.

  • If you are involved in, or witness an accident please report to a staff or patrol member.

  • Do not feed, provoke or approach wild life.

  • Front and rear brakes are mandatory while riding in the park.

  • Safe riding at Coast Gravity Park is dependent on all of your equipment being in good working order. Before riding, inspect your gear.

  • You cannot ride if your ability is impaired through the use of drugs or alcohol.

  • You cannot ride if you do not have sufficient strength, dexterity and ability to ride safely. If in doubt, ask a staff member.
